NuChem Sciences joins forces with OmegaChem to become Canada’s CRO focused on chemistry
We are pleased to announce that NuChem Sciences is joining forces with OmegaChem to become Canada’s CRO focused on chemistry.
OmegaChem, which is located in Lévis, Quebec, will bring around 100 employees to this new partnership and will keep its name and branding. Its management staff will also remain in place, including François Laflamme, President, Francis Beaulieu, VP Chemistry, R&D and innovations and Dominique Dion, VP Finance.
There will also be no change in the management of NuChem Sciences.
NuChem Sciences, which employs 100 scientific and support staff, offers FTE services in chemistry to around 30 clients and services in biochemistry, cell biology and in vivo pharmacology.
OmegaChem also provides larges teams of chemistry FTE, as well as custom chemistry services, and maintains a catalog of selected chemicals.
Several synergies can be expected from this partnership that customers and employees of both companies are expected to benefit from:
- Best practices in human resources
- Staff recruitment
- Exchanges of good scientific procedures
- Diversified services and equipment
- Efforts in business development
No job losses are expected, and we are currently embarking on a massive recruitment drive to hire scientific talent.
We are excited to partner with another Canadian CRO in a way that expands the capacity and services of both our companies.
